Message | "Mr. Speaker, The Republican Party agrees that these propsals would indeed by tough on crime but what they are tougher on is liberty. This bill would place soldiers with guns in our streets, allow deportation to countries that practice torture, deprive the poor of right to defence and allow citizens to be detained without charge in the anme of localism!" The Seator then got to his feet and began to chant "They say police state! We say Welfare State! Police State." Several other Republican senators then joined in: "Welfare state!" "Police state" "Welfare state!" The debate was then temporarily suspended while the offending Senator was removed from teh chamber and several other members of the Republican caucus were reprimanded for their actions. |

Message | This is something that we cannot agree to. The police should not have the right to patrol private property unless there is a specific reason why they should be there ie conducting an investigation that has been approved by the courts. |
Date | 15:47:03, May 19, 2012 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the Justice Act 3305 |
Message | Mr. Speaker, The conservative party feels that the actions of the republican senators show it up to be the rabble rouser's that we believe them to be. That is no way to act in senate. |
