Message | "Banking" should not be an industry to take advantage of the people. Small community-based private banks are already allowed. These include regular banks and credit unions that are run privately to allow storage of personal funds, etc. Allowing too many big banks will just dilute the strength of democracy by limiting the power of the bank controlled by the government. The people elect the government. Other big banks will monopolize property; we cannot tolerate that. In a matter of years, more than 50% of properties, vehicles, and big assets, will be owned by bank owners. Do you think anyone would be able to start a bank? No! Only a few oligarchs would control the entire "industry" you would want banking to become. |

Message | You're assuming that the banking industry will become corrupted and take advantage of people? I disagree... Banking - just like any other industry - can prove advantageous because of competition among banks for clients. While it has happened in the past that big banks try to use their status in unethical ways, we can't ignore the fact that a thriving banking industry can provide great contributions to our economy in the form of jobs, and opportunities for people to invest their savings in a diverse range of options and financial instruments provided by competing banks. |

Message | It's not going to be corrupted, but it will take advantege of people. The entire point/idea of the industry is taking advantage of people. |
