Message'Fraid not. We know not being politically independent as a Government employee is a bad thing, but although bias is common in human nature, at least when they have to swear political independence we can remove them if they are biased.

MessageThere is now law saying we can remove people for being biased. Can't loopholes work against such a thing and call it discrimination?

Thanks :)

As for the law, it is one or the other and I find that the current law is more palatable.

MessageThe civil service has to remain independent of political interference. Ministers can still appoint advisers to tell them what they want to hear. Civil servants work for the public, not the ruling part of the day.
