Bill: Right of Way
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluz Democratic Karavist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3308
Description[?]:
East Beluzia is already giving Davostag rights of passage for their military campaign against Barmenia. Count Siggon Kristov doesn't think Beluzia should participate in the war, but it wouldn't hurt anyone if we granted Davostag rights of passage. Vanuku and Davostag have the closest systems to Beluzia's unique elective monarchy. If this bill passes, ships and aircraft, from Davostag, may stop in Beluzia for repair. We will also open our hospitals to injured soldiers from Davostag, since Davostag is so far away. -- Barmenia declared war on Davostag because the newly formed Imperial Council wouldn't pay debts owed to Barmenia by a former government. Count Siggon Kristov sees this as unfair. It is like asking His Excellency, High Count Nick, to pay debts owed by the government that existed before the Beluzian aristocracy. Barmenia should have ordered the corrupt bastards extradited, but instead they force the imperial council, which overthrew the corrupt bastards, to pay for the losses caused by the corrupt bastards. That is like forcing a rebel president to pay for debts caused by the king he overthrew. People should take that up with the king. |
