Bill: De-regulation of Movies
Details
Submitted by[?]: Williams Family
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3309
Description[?]:
This is another area the Williams Family believes the government should get out of. Citizens should be able to watch the movies the like and cinemas should be able to offer the shows that appeal to their audience - even if the shows are less than "clean" and "wholesome" and don't meet conservative standards. People choose to go and watch movies (or watch them at home) and the government shouldn't stand in their way just because the content is deemed questionable. It opens the door to censorship which is not okay. |
Proposals
Article 1

Old value:: The government sets a range of standards (to be determined) but these only apply to movie theaters.
Current: The government sets a range of standards (to be determined) but these only apply to movie theaters.

Message | We only believe in setting standards in cinemas. Setting standards, for movies overall, would be ultraconservative. We don't believe much in the standards at all, and we support your stance, but we still believe in regulation in the cinemas. |
