Bill: M.A.R.C. #54: "Beverage & Tobacco Regulation Reform Act"
Details
Submitted by[?]: Medrisite-Associated Revisionist Council
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3311
Description[?]:
"Of course we are against unnecessary regulation where it infringes upon the rights of ordinary citizens, but we must realize that our children currently may consume alcoholic beverages at any age. We cannot accept this law and believe it must be changed immediately." "Regarding article 2, we do not believe in forcing the licensing of tobacco retailers. The entire purpose of that particular law is to prevent children from purchasing tobacco, and that can be done by ensuring that only those above the legal age may do so." Chairman R. Benjamin Olson, under the orders of: His Imperial Majesty Louis M. Mederagaar, House of Mederagaar. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy towards alcoholic beverages.
Old value:: Alcoholic beverage regulations are not imposed by the government.
Current: The state has a monopoly on the sale of alcoholic beverages.
Proposed: Alcoholic beverages may be purchased only from licensed sales outlets, and can only be available to adults.
