MessageThe Freedom Party believe that the current state of the Jelbanian Parliament is a bureaucratic mess, there are far too many Member of Parliament and the election cycle between electing them takes far too long.

We believe that we should cut down on the number of seats to something more manageable and that something will not allow ties.

In addition with the cut down of the election cycle from six to four years, it will stop incumbent parties from gaining too much lethargicism in their rule and will with luck speed up the Bill process.

Finally we will further open up the amount of Bill proposals a party can introduce to an even number so that every month the parties receive an equal amount.

MessageThe Freedom Party believes that the current state of the Jelbanian Parliament is a bureaucratic mess, there are far too many Members of Parliament and the election cycle between elections is currently far too long.

The current size of the Parliament is far too large and too much bureaucracy. Despite only having a population of ninety million (90,000,000) we have seven hundred (700) elected Members of Parliament. It is in the Freedom Party's opinion the amount of seats be sliced down with two election cycles, cutting it first to 535 and then after the subsequent election cut down to around 300. The cuts to the size of Parliament will allow for a streamlining of government and cut down on costs; in salaries alone after this passes we will save twenty five cent (25%) of its costs.

We are also in belief that the time between elections is far too long. Although the Freedom Party agrees it allows for a greater time frame to discuss and debate Bills, it also makes Members of Parliaments, referred for here there in as MPs, lethargic and gives far too much advantage to incumbent MPs who have earned their seat, giving them six (6) years to establish a position, something very difficult to usurp.

The Freedom Party will, if this Bill is supported by the reigning Grand Nationalists Party introduce this Bill immediately, however if resistance we shall hold off until after the next election cycle, which in the opinion of this party is far too long, even now.

In addition with the cut down of the election cycle from six to four years, it will stop incumbent parties from gaining too much lethargicism in their rule and will with luck speed up the Bill process.

OOC: Simply streamlined

MessageI agree with both measure that the term length and amount of seat need to be cut down or made to an odd number.

MessageWe oppose this. 48 months is still too long, and 535 seats is too small.

MessageThe USJ has a population of just under one hundred million (99 million approx.) with seven hundred (700) members of Parliament. We believe that a smaller Parliament would cut government bureaucracy. However we believe 48 months is a good start, if it is still too long we could cut it down even further.

MessageAllow this change to go through as is, and we can introduce another Bill afterwards to further lower the seat count.
