Bill: Railing a Compromise
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluz Democratic Karavist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3312
Description[?]:
The Stantons want the entire rail system to be nationalized, but for the purpose of economic growth and job creation, the Williams family is in favour of partial privitization. We simply believe the extent of public/private rails should be more defined. -- The Karav family strongly believes that the central sections, of the federal rail network, should be publicly owned. The current law doesn't specify which parts are publicly/privately owned. It says there is a national company, which manages all the government-owned sections of the network, but it doesn't specify a national service (which would be connected) or restrictions on the private service (to keep them from eventually monopolizing key routes, which would enable them to charge ridiculous prices). The central part of the federal rail network, which will link most of Beluzia's major cities, should be nationalized. This part of the network passes parish borders, linking the capital of each parish. Privately-owned parts, of the entire rail network, will operate their own routes. -- In short? The entire rail system will be connected. Underwater subway systems will link Bailon to the mainland. The government will own the central network, which connects all the private sub-networks. The central network, or the "interstate route" will link all the major cities on the mainland, but the privare sector will operate all the other routes. The government-owned network will connect the private networks. This is a fair compromise between the public and private sectors for a better mixed economy. |
