Message | "While our House supports and values the House of Kansar and its intentions, we do disagree with Article 5 of his bill. While we are a monarchy and our nobility is very important, we do not believe this is an effective way to handle justice. We believe matters such as this should be left in the hands of the courts. But, we would appreciate elaboration from the House of Kansar. "I yield my time, Lord Chancellor." Lord Dr. Sylvester Arinidi, D.P.A., Prince of Lirona Head of the House of Aridini |

Message | "We fully support Article 4 and see it as unarguably beneficial, but, our House still does not fully agree with the dueling clause, though we see no fault with the remainder of the Bill. I yield, Lord Chancellor." Lord Dr. Sylvester Arinidi, D.P.A., Prince of Lirona Head of the House of Aridini |
Date | 03:43:56, June 04, 2012 CET | From | Kansarätten (House of Kansar) | To | Debating the Kansar Omnibus Act 3314 |
Message | "My Lord Chancellor, The House of Kansar supports the regulated right to dueling as an expression of the freedom to settle disputes without undue adjudication from the government. To put it simply, there are some feuds that cannot be settled in the courts. We believe that if regulations are imposed (we do not support duels where only one side agrees to the challenge, for instance) then dueling is an adequate means to resolve disputes. We understand that dueling is, of course, a controversial subject, and so will not hold it against our honorable colleagues in the House of Aridini if they should choose to oppose this legislation, we merely suggest it to allow our voters to better understand our position prior to the upcoming election. I yield the floor." Rt. Hon. Nadiyya El-Hashem, MP House of Kansar Legislative Lead OOC: Essentially I'm doing it for visibility's sake. If you oppose it I encourage you to oppose the bill; don't feel obligated to support simply because we're working together. If we vote opposite on bills our visibilities will differ and we'll appeal to different voter bases, which is always good :) |

Date | 03:50:07, June 04, 2012 CET | From | Nationella Royalister | To | Debating the Kansar Omnibus Act 3314 |
Message | "We now understand. As long as this dueling matter does not get out of hand, we have no opposition. Our greatest concern is the unnecessary death of our citizens and the weakening of the power of the courts, though we will delay casting our vote so that I might consult with the senior members of my party and consider their recommendations. "I yield, Lord Chancellor." Lord Dr. Sylvester Arinidi, D.P.A., Prince of Lirona Head of the House of Aridini |

Random fact: Submitting a bill without any proposals in it will not attract or detract voters. It will not raise your visibility or change your political position. |
