Message | Only adults can purchase tobacco? Rather conservative. Since we left it to local governments, maybe you should set an age limit in your own parish when you get control of one, but don't force your conservative crap on citizens of other parishes. |

Message | If I remember correctly the age at which you are considered an adult is 12 I would not call that conservative. |

Message | Allowing age, to determine too many things, is rather socially conservative. Comparitive age (when we take matters that involve 2 persons of different ages) is different; we aren't fond of persons engaging in relationships with other persons who are 2 generations older than them, but it's still not our business anyway. If you actually knew anything about our policies, you'd know that we don't consider persons "adults" by age. We, the Karav Dynasty, believe adulthood should be determined by a test that would measure an individual's ability to handle personal independence and responsibilities. We just believe that persons should be able to take the test as early as 13; we don't actually consider all 13-year-olds to be citizens. It's sad that the current combination of laws allows so much focus on the age itself, when it could simply allow an age limit instead of a flat age which wouldn't be fair for everyone. Some people gain social and mental maturity quicker than some. Some get it as early as 13, and some get it at 16... Some may not even get it until 21. Everyone is different. This age should simply be the earliest age someone could take the test, like we proposed, here: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=344878 |

Message | Well then 13 year olds who pass would be deemed intelligent enough to imbibe the addicting substance that is tobacco. |

Message | Not the point... Some regional subcultures of Beluzia would prefer more restrictive laws, and some would prefer more liberal laws. Autonomy is the way to solve this. Age, and tobacco smoking overall, have different relevance in different subcultures of Beluzia. |

Message | Make health care completely private? So that citizens can be denied needed treatment due to lack of money? Never. |

Message | So the citizens can afford to buy healthcare do to lower taxes. |
Date | 02:31:25, June 10, 2012 CET | From | Beluz Democratic Karavist Party | To | Debating the Laissez-Nous Fait Laissez-Nous Faire |
Message | With the existing taxes, many citizens can already afford to buy private healthcare. What happens to disabled persons who can't earn money easily? Should they be neglected? |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
