Message | The compulsory enlistment of people into some sort of national service. |
Date | 23:33:23, June 13, 2012 CET | From | Beluz Democratic Karavist Party | To | Debating the An End to Mandatory Conscription |
Message | 1) It's not compulsory. If you don't benefit from the government's spending (transportation, education, health, etc.) then you don't need to serve a year. You can avoid serving a year by not walking on Beluzian sidewalks, or not driving on Beluzian roads, or not getting an education or not getting healthcare. 2) The national service isn't permanent. It's just 1 year of community service, or military service, at your option. After that, there are no obligations. Normal conscription is a permanent arrangement. |
