Message | Whilst the GLPoT has differed with the TDU's policy of devolving power to local government in the past, on this issue we believe that having only a single national police force may lead to an authoritarian draconian state. Unlike centralised policies on issues such as the environment, which do not pose a risk to any person be it physical or through the limitation of civil rights, the temptation for a government to abuse a national police force to enforce their views goes against the GLPoT's policy of liberal social rights where individuals are free to express criticism of the government. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
