| Message | While we believe that life begins in conception, and thus abortion involves the deliberate destruction of life, the Takanashi clan supports this proposal. Although our belief consider the destruction of life, including abortion, is negative and can cause impurity of the soul, the world is far from being either white or black, and sometimes a lesser misdeed is required to prevent a greater misdeed, such as the implication of the birth of said foetus, including social and financial stress put on the mother and her family. As such, we believe abortion should be judged case by case, so that the unique circumstances of each pregnancy can be judged, and good decision to be made. |
