| Almost a year ago the military budget was generously increased as a preemptive measure in case of deterioration of the region. This deterioration has occurred. Al Baradii has been ousted as Prime Minister and the Red Vanguard's coalition is in power. Legislation now exists in the Badaran Parliament that would approve war with Kafuristan. Prime Minister Nasri requests approval a non-recognition status for the new government of Badara. As far as it is the concern of the Kafuri Foreign Ministry, Dr. Mohamed Al Baradii is the legitimate Prime Minister and no other legitimate leaders currently exist in Badara. We remind the Majlis al-Umma that the Red Vanguard is a militant organization. These militants now hold Badara hostage. Once upon a time Badara was one of Kafuristan's greatest allies, but now it would appear as though war could be only months away. The Prime Minister has contacted the Defense Ministry and arrangements are in process to organize preventive measures. If conflict does loom even closer the Internal Ministry will coordinate with the northern emirates to ensure the safety of citizens in the region. Already the Ministry has organized for its local offices to send out information pamphlets to all households in all emirates to remind citizens of the locations of civil defense structures. |
