Message1. We need to tax the public and spend their money setting up Kwanza heritage institutions. (note sarcasm)
2. To provide greater personal freedom to those who need protection. Gun control laws do nothing to prevent criminals from commiting crimes. Nearly all gun related crimes are by illegally owned weaponry. All gun control does is prevent the public from adequete personal protection.
3. #3 is a personal opinion. On second consideration I will take it out.
4. Tarrifs and quotas in trade is protectionism. It makes the economy tank in the long run. This was the reason for the formation of the Constitutional Convention (American), because the states were imposing ridiculous tariffs that killed the economy.

MessageOur current tarrif policy is entirely reciprical, so we do not resort to protectionism unless another nation's protectionism is affecting our exporters.
Actually, most gun crimes occur in the home. Personal firearms are a poor protection against determined assault and greatly increase the number of accidental and passion murders

MessageThe current laws on the protection of national heritage are fine as far as we are concerned. So far as i can see in the current law there is no provision or suggestion that people are taxed to set up any institution. It simply says that the government promotes PRIVATE efforts to protect Telamonian heritage and can provide them with the odd grant if necessary. There is no question of complete or regular government funding and this certainly need not come out of taxation (for example it could come out of a national lottery or something - i.e. something entirely optional for people to participate in) and the institutions are private.
