Message"While we regard the abominable spelling the the title of the "national postal and infurstructure act" as reason enough to strike it from the statute book, the fact that it gave a TOC monopoly to one private company alone calls for a change. We are certainly not against private enterprise, but creating a private monopoly without any competion effectively makes the whole nation hostage of a single private company.
The other provisions of that act were just as ill thought out and are hindering the chances of development according to the respective needs of our regions and local government areas and should be overturned in their entirety.
Additionally to overturning the damaging provisions of the above mentioned act, this bill also provides other complimentary incentives for infrastructure development. It is a comprehensive programme for infrastructure development and can therefore not easily be broken up into its constituent proposals."

MessageOn the whole the GLPot opposes the devolving of power to local authorities and as such does not support articles 1,2,3,5 and 6.

We feel that privatising large institutions whose functions are a necessity of modern life, such as those of the public transport industry, places too much corporate power in the hands of profit orientated organisations who may not have the people of Tukarli's best interests at heart and as such poses too great a threat to public welfare to be ethically viable. As a result we oppose article 7.

However the GLPoT understands that keeping vital infrastructure nationalised requires a large amount of government funding and in order to provide the best quality of life to the people of Tukarali it may be necessary to 'trim the fat' and prioritise government spending. For this reason the GLPoT supports the idea of non-vital infrastructure and business being privatised on a regulated scale as this will reduce government spending, allowing us to improve the quality of vital infrastructure provided by nationalised institutions. Small scale privatisation would also improve upon Tukarali's current economy by creating a more competitive market and promoting a healthy incentive for a positive work ethnic, without posing the same risk to public welfare that privatisation of vital infrastructure, as proposed here would have. Subsequently the GLPoT would support article 4 of this bill.

MessageOOC: sorry I read article 7 wrong - I would support the change. However I still don't agree with 1,2,3,5 and 6
