Bill: Denouncing Cildania for Diplomatic Distortion & Fabrication

Details

Submitted by[?]: al-'Aqrab al-Aswad al-Tahalof

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3333

Description[?]:

As the Parliament is well aware, over the past year the Prime Minister left his normal duties to attend the Santa Alexandra Conference. Like Prime Minister Nasri, many other national leaders took an extensive break from their elected duties to attend this attempt at peace.

Before the Santa Alexandra Conference became an official event, Prime Minister Nasri, among many of the Kafuri and Zardic governments, had suspicions of Jalal Al-e-Ahmad's will for peace. Following the Cildanian weapons deal with Badara, magically from thin air vast plans were made for a peace conference. Both the Kafuri and Zardic governments questioned the true intentions of Chairman Al-e-Ahmad in this conference, given his numerous weapons deals and continuing militaristic preparations.

Despite very strong doubt about the Chairman's intentions, and even with suspicion that Al-e-Ahmad was taking advantage of the conference to buy time, Kafuristan and Zardugal attended.

With the conference now failed, the Cildanians, while claiming neutrality, are pointing figures and openly announcing possibility of continued free trade of weapons with Badara. Here is the Cildanian announcement:

Cildania makes a simple statement of neutrality combined with heightened military presence. They then go on to spend the whole announcement bashing Prime Minister Nasri. According to them the sole reason of the conference's failure is Mr. Nasri. Dozens of lies and distortions follow.

Eventually they arrive at the accusation that Nasri refused all offers made in the conference. The Cildanians call Nasri incompetent, yet it is clear that they are the incompetents. The Kafuri delegation agreed to the terms offered by the Zardic delegation and stood by them until the fall of the conference. Instead of offering any negotiations, the Badarans took to their usual Zardugal-bashing. The Cildanians then pressed, multiple times, for the Badarans to state if they were there for a "treaty or a union." Badara took to silence and Nasri abandoned his physical presence in order to return to work in Kafuristan. Nasri remained in connection with the conference digitally, still awaiting Badaran response.

The stalling continued and the Kafuri delegation set a deadline. If not met then Kafuristan would officially end its place in the conference. Before the deadline could be met Zardic military operations began and Zardugal withdrew from the conference, having had enough of Badara's stalling.

It is quite apparent that the Cildanian conference was a waste of time and that Cildania is completely incompetent in its abilities to analyze facts. Cildania keeps asserting neutrality while acting and talking in quite a different manner. We would like to point out that Kafuristan does not even recognize Cildanian neutrality; the only nation we have any such recognition for is Mordusia.

Again, Kafuristan agreed to Zardic terms of peace. We waited, and waited, and waited some more as Badara stalled. From the very beginning, Kafuristan and Zardugal alike assumed that Badara was using the conference to buy time. They succeeded and the Cildanians are completely ignorant of their prostitution to Jalal Al-e-Ahmad.

We denounce Cildania's diplomatic fabrications and distortions. It is absolutely appalling that a nation that claims to be neutral would act in the manner that Cildania has.

We also announce that should future Cildanian weapons sales to Badara be approved, we will establish an embargo against Cildania. Additionally, depending on the degree to which the Cildanian military meddles in this conflict, that too could lead to the decision for an embargo.

Within this resolution we propose the withdrawal from the Majatran Free Trade Agreement so to officially end our end of free trade with Cildania. While we support Free Trade, it is not beneficial to be apart of this large-scale agreement. It is much smarter diplomatically and strategically to establish our free trade agreements individually with nations, rather than on a continental basis.
