If only the Head of State can propose a cabinet coalition, then the cabinet proposals will only represent what the Head of State's party wants, not what the majority want. I say let any party propose a cabinet coalition. |

Message | Don't change the make up of government just because political winds have changed a bit. The previous system got this nation by before, it should now. |

Message | Your argument is flawed. Perhaps the previous system worked before, but now I believe that any party should be able to propose a cabinet coalition. After all, the parties will still have to agree to a cabinet coalition. If each party can propose a cabinet coalition and not just one party, then it is more likely that the cabinet will be more representative of what the parties want as a whole. There will be more possible cabinet proposals to choose from. |

Message | Listen, just because your party doesn't get votes from the people doesn't mean you have to steal the government by other means. |

Message | Oh, come now. Cabinet coalitions will still have to be approved by a majority vote. No party, not mine or any party, would be capable of 'stealing' the government if this bill passes. This bill merely allows more options for cabinet coaltions to be presented. The reason you don't like this bill is because you want to retain your monopoly on cabinet appointments. Although you are the largest party, you do not have anywhere near a majority of the vote. I feel that the cabinet should represent what the majority (not the pluarality) really wants and this bill will allow for all parties to share their ideas for a fair cabinet that is more representative than a cabinet that can only be proposed by the party that happens to have gotten their candidate elected at the time. Besides, when your party no longer has its Head of State in charge, you'll want to propose your own ideas for a cabinet, won't you? |

Message | The people vote in the people they trust with creating a cabinet... Which unfortunatly is not us, but there have been better times. |

Message | The Head of State will almost invariably propose a cabinet that is too biased towards his party and paries he favours, neglecting any major parties that disagree with him. So, for example, the second largest party that very nearly won may have no representation in the cabinet even though it ought to have some representation. |

Message | I say no......many small, unpopular parties could overthrow some large, popular parties, and that shouldn't happen. If the people vote in the party proposing, they trust it to make the cabinet decisions. |
