This current reform of our internal security structure will better protect the nation while not infringing on our liberty. Section 1. The Security Oversight Commission is hereby established to ensure all federal security institutions are respecting and complying with privacy and other protection laws. It shall consist of 12 member with 4 appointed every 3 years to non-renewable terms. This commission shall also have the power to investigate abuses. Section 2. The Congressional Select Committee on Security Oversight is hereby established to ensure congressional accountability over the structure. It shall consist of 5 members from every party with over 60 seats. |
