Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2152
Description[?]:
Nationalised Defense Industries ought to be banned, and private ones shall receive no benefits nor regulation whatsoever. Let private companies raise competition even in weapons production, anything's good for profit. And there's no need of playing with taxpayers' money for such a secondary - in peacetime - subject as defense budget. Furthermore, private defense industries could be even more productive than State ones; no point for us to keep a service others could do better. We're not banning military. We're just lightening the State burden where it is not strictly necessary to keep an expense. Of course we can always nationalize or regulate them in exceptional cases like war. But how happy are citizens knowing some of their money they pour in the hungry State pockets ends in bombs and guns? How and when do they benefit of this? Leave this to private sector. Make weapons a profit source. |

Message | Conflict is inevitable. The HPP would argue, that in times of peace is the time for preparation for the next conflict. This means not that we will have to build a large war machine, but we must have enough machinery to protect ourself. When private companies control the industry, we are not in control of the prizes. Therefore the expences will be costly. And shouldn't it be the politicians (in council with army/war experts) job to decide which weaponry and machinery we need to protect ourselfs? The HPP thinks that the current legislation is enough. No further adresses has to be made. The competition between state and private sectors helps to control the army needs and thereby the subjects of production. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow official national flags of real-life nations or flags which are very prominent and recognisable (eg. the flags of the European Union, the United Nations, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the Confederate States of America). |
Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
