Bill: Public Access to The Limitation of Toiling - People's Working Hours Decree 3351

Details

Submitted by[?]: Red Vanguard Dominion

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3352

Description[?]:

WE UNDERSTAND THE FALSE CONCEPTION
That agreement between employee and employer is possible. It is a lovely utopian idea, but it is entirely false.

THOSE WITH POWER
Shall use it to subjugate those without it. The notion that employee and employer can come to sensible agreement, no. Not even.

THE NOTION THAT EMPLOYERS
Can met employees on even-ground, that it is even possible to provide neutral territory for these negotiations, is entirely utopian. And quite frankly, false.

BY ALLOWING GOVERNMENT
By allowing State, to regulate the working hours of the population, all 99 million plus of them, you thereby allow these persons to rightfully decide, in an open and democratic manner, how long hours should be. The State, for all the propaganda against it, is an open and public institution. Democratic Workers Committees run absolutely every business, service, industry, and operation within Al'Badara. Citizens are allowed to vote, equally and honestly, amongst all other citizens.

BY CONTINUING TO ALLOW
"Negotiations" between employee and employer, we begin, once more, down a slippery-slope (not a slipper-slope) of decay and private tyranny. These negotiations are hostage negotiations. The employers, with their ownership of Capital and immense power, are pointing this gun right at the head of the worker's livelihood. These are not negotiations on even footing. These are concessions.

THE CURRENT LAW MAY AS WELL BE:
Employees may concede to the will of their Employers in regards to working hours.

THE CURRENT LAW MUST BECOME:
The free, democratic, public, and open Government shall listen to the Voice of the People, compile their votes and suggestions, and provide the appropriate working hours. These may be as freely changed, overturned, and altered, as any other public institution. They could even change as much as Al'Democraty changes its political opinions, if need be.

MessageBECAUSE
Of the reasons we just mentioned. "Give people the freedom" is rhetoric, pure and simple. You are using the language of capitalist ethos to support capitalism. "Give people the freedom" is a lovely idea on paper, but it wields no power against an employer who may

FIRE SOMEONE WITHOUT REASONABLE REASONS.

DO YOU
Find "Freedom" within a negotiation wherein the other person may fire you if they have a reason with reasons? Without reasonable reasons.

The winds of illogical rhetoric are tearing down Al'Badara
