MessageAviation is the fastest growing contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, and its associated noise and air pollution are responsible for a massive impact on the health, quality of life - and finances - of increasing numbers of people.

Yet Governments persist in their claim that our economy is at risk unless we build more and more runways to meet the insatiable demand of an industry which already receives billions of Dorvik Dollars of taxpayers' cash in tax breaks and hidden subsidies

MessageFor the sake of public health, quality of life, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the public purse, we must take immediate steps to rein in the excesses of the aviation industry

MessageAs horrible as airplane pollution is, car and bus pollution is worse. Airplanes get more people to far off places faster than they could otherwise. I do think that the airports could adequately fund themselves with the airlines help, on the other hand. Roads must be funded in order for public and private transportation to work; you can't very well walk all the way from a train station to where you work or live. And buses and trains make a good deal of noise as well and are a more widespread problem.

MessageYou see contrary to popular belief i am not banning airports here, more should not be built or the future of our planet will be irreversibly damaged, reduce air traffic reduce pollution. More HIGHWAYS do not need to built as the amount is sufficiant.

MessageWould you rather people drove on their business trips? I don't think that's going to save our environment at all.

MessageWe also need to add that the money that is cut will go to mass transit, not just alone cut funding.
