Message | Mr. Speaker, I, in my capacity as Minister of Finance, acting on behalf of the Government of Lodamun, hereby present the 3355/56 Federal budget to the parliament. Under our government, less bills will be presented to the parliament, and the physical number of parliamentarians will be more than halved, thus, we have decided to cut 50 Million LOD from the Head of Governments budget, while still maintaining a high level of productivity and excellence within this body of Governance. The Foreign affaris budget will be cut by 500 Million LOD to represent the lessening of international time wasting treaties that we will be required to adhere and report to, it is our aim to withdraw from at least three international treaties by the end of 3355. The level of international aid that we provide will remain the same. The Internal Affairs budget will be boosted by 500 Million LOD, to facilitate the creation of numerous security service programs and an increase in police numbers. Finance will be cut by 250 Million LOD due to the downsizing of the federal budget and the simplification of the tax system. Defence will receive a 5 Billion LOD boost to increase the readiness levels of our military and allow for a new recruitment program to boost levels in the professional standing Armed Forces, as well as annexing civilian research projects. Justice will receive a cut of 500 Million LOD due to the streamlining efforts of our Government and the downgrading of prison environments to encourage real disincentive and punishment to those who are incarcerated there. Health and Social Services will be cut by 5.2 Billion LOD due to the devolution of Healthcare and Social Services to a Republic (State) level, the remaining 5 Billion LOD is to aid the Republics in setting up their own healthcare, and will be cut entirely by the end of 3356. Education and Culture will be cut by 7.5 Billion LOD as it too is devolved to a Republic level, the remaining 7.5 Billion LOD will be cut off by the end of 3356. Science and Technology has received a 1.5 Billion LOD cut, as the majority of research is to be picked up by the military, the remaining 1.5 Billion is to encourage the creation of small, civilian laboratories to operate under Government supervision. Environment and Tourism will take a 200 Million LOD cut as Republics and private enterprise take the brunt of Environmental protection and management operations on-board. The budget is expected to fall to 600 Million LOD by the end of 3356. Sincerely, A. Phillips Minister of Finance (CP) |

Message | A comment from the Chairman of the FLP: The new governments program centers just the military development and the growth of police forces. As the prize of this nonsense the government abolishes most of the later social improvements. What is your party planning, Minister Phillips? Do you prepare for a war? We reject the whole program. I. Strummer |

Message | Mr. Strummer, We prepare not for a war, but rather, for the future! We are fully committed to the defence of our great nation and the safety of those who live within it, we have not cut the social programs, we are simply placing them in the capable and rather more locally informed Republic level governments, this is why we have been able to cut taxes down to 10 percent across the board and slash the tax on luxury goods almost in half. If some unforeseeable disaster arises with our proposed devolution solution - we would be more than happy to start repealing some of the policies given here today, please honorable members of parliament, let us act not on behalf of our parties, but on behalf of our nation! W. Harper, Head of Government (CP) |
