Bill: Foreign Aid Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Radical Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2152
Description[?]:
Rutania is a civilised country. Development aid is a concerted effort by the Rutanian government to help other nations develop. It is not "forced charity" as egocentric right-wing parties argue, because charity is something fundamentally different. Rutania has both a moral obligation and an economic interest in seeing other nations develop; the current policy is a poor effort by right-wing politicians to look compassionate on TV when something big happens whilst leaving the rest of the world to rot. |

Proposal[?] to change Government policy towards giving aid to foreign countries.
Old value:: The government only gives aid for disaster relief in foreign countries.
