MessageThe left alone does not currently have a majority to govern, but nor do most Aldegarians wish to see government by the extremist aristocrat of Hirikena.

We therefore propose this balanced and sensible coalition.

MessageWhile we do appreciate the Fenner Brockway's trust in the Aldegar Liberty Party to run the nation properly, we must decline for several reasons.

First, we differ too radically from Novy Smer on nearly every issue and we believe that any coalition must be somewhat together in policy and the Novy Smer's and the Aldegar Liberty Party are anything but.

Second, much smaller, but still an issue is the fact that the Civil Liberties Party does not hold any seats in this proposal and we consider the Civil Liberties to be one of the two parties closest to our own.

Finally, it's a matter of economics, while we often agree with the "left" on the issue of civil liberties and often push even harder than the "left" to expand rights and freedoms, we cannot reasonably form a coalition with socialist parties. Our current coalition consists of two mostly laissez-faire capitalist parties and two regulatory (to differing degrees) capitalist parties. We cannot justify leaving that to join a coaliton that would feature three regulatory capitalist parties and two socialist parties along with ourselves.

MessageAs the PC Party once again holds the balance of power here, we feel that it is necessary to voice our opinions. We support -- in general -- the idea of working with more parties in Aldegar on legislation and government. We don't, however, believe that we can work in a coalition with the Novy Smer party, given this party's track record in legislation (ie. often proposing radical legislation that most, if not all, other parties vote against) and in its attitude towards and treatment of other parties. We must, regrettably, vote against this proposal due to the inclusion of Novy Smer.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.

Random quote: "The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them ignorant." - Maximilien Robespierre
