| JALAL AL-E-AHMAD Was once a mighty man, worthy of the most high praise and veneration. HE ONCE Did great deeds for our country, bringing it out of centuries of capitalistic oppression. BUT NOW We note with woe that he has rejected the true Vanguard ideals, thrown them by the wayside and urinated on them. WE CAN SEE His commitment is not to Vanguardism, but to compromise and moderation. VANGUARDISM Does not permit half-heartedness. HOW CAN THIS Come to pass? What grief it brings to us true Vanguards! JALAL AL-E-AHMAD Is a traitor now, having betrayed the Badaran State and the Vanguard movement. WE CANNOT Have a nation run by a traitor. We must thus throw him out. HE CANNOT Be an eternal leader, for he will lead us astray. He cannot be an eternal guide, for he will guide us onto a dark and miserable path. LET US THEN Remove him from his post, leaving only the General Secretary as sole head of state. IS IS TRUE THAT General Secretary is currently a member of the Republican Democratic Alliance, a treasonous party, BUT HIS GUILT Is collective; Jalal al-e-Ahmad's is deeply individual, not by association, but within himself. YOU STILL LIVE Jalal al-e-Ahmad, but we mourn the loss of the great man who was once to the mighty leader of al Badara and the Vanguard movement. INSTEAD We are left with a traitor, a shadow of his former greatness. WHETHER You will be remembered as a hero or a traitor shall be the call of history. |
