Message | Beluzia is a Republic. -- OOC: Beluzia is actually set up like the real-world Roman Republic, which was the first republic in the world. The Roman Republic was more like a monarchy than what you call a republic. The idea was to have aristocrats (the elite citizens in a society) in a council, and they would all have an equal say in the way things are done. No-one should outshine the other. The High Count, much like the Roman Emperor, is almost powerless without the federal council, which would be like the Roman Republic's Senate. |

Random quote: "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Winston Churchill |
