MessageThe question we should ask is -are there any situations where we feel a person carrying a concealed weapon would be appropriate? If so, then I suggest the original proposal. If not, then perhaps we could consider the CFAAP amendment?

MessageWe are currently thinking if there are any situations where a concealed weapon would be beneficial. If we fail to do so, we would be willing to agree to the proposal of the CFAP and SSP.

MessageThe NMP cannot see a reason as to why a citizen would have the need to carry a weapon at all, let alone conceal it. The NMP are very much for giving police standard firearms, however, there doesn't really seem to be a reason where one may have to carry a gun normally. We would understand for sporting events etc, people would then obviously need licenses for their guns then. But now that it seems our national sport, hunting, is to be changed, then there does not seem enough evidence for people to actually carry guns. We are happy for citizens have a basic firearm to be kept at home for security etc. But we don't see why citizens would need to carry concealed weapons in our present, peaceful society.

MessageShall we come to a decision on this?

The SSP will support any proposal limiting the concealment of weapons - the more strict, the better.
