Bill: IPR Party meeting (adjourned)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Imperial Parti républicain

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3450

Description[?]:

We should have a monarchy where every région has it's own royal family. That royal family would then act as the governor of the région (Like in America, we have governors for every state but we still have a president that is above them.). The monarch above the nation would appoint their own governor-general to a région.

This is a conference to discuss the matter of changing the monarchy into a 'federal-monarchy'. The meeting is being held at the home of the leader of IPR, Jean-Noel Andrieux.

MessageJean-Noel Andrieux: Welcome everyone to my lovely home. I ask that we try to keep this meeting as civil as possible. Now onto the first item on the agenda today, the planning for a federal monarchy. Do I hear a second?

Jean-France Luart(candidate for Head of Government): I second the motion for a federal monarchy.

Jean Monteux(candidate for Internal Affairs): I think a federal monarchy would better suit our growing population and growing government, but we must remeber that the people wish to have a voice in the matter of who becomes monarch of the whole country. A federal monarch that is elected instead of heradatery placement would make this transition into a new monarchy much easier. With the placement of regional barons[Who would be the monarch of each reigion] would allow for a steady non-elected aristocracy to form and run the internal day-to-day affairs of our nation, while the elected monarch would simply run the foreign affairs of our great nation day-to-day without the worry of running the internal affairs of the nation.

MessageÉgérie Bertillon(candidate for Justice): Couldn't the newly formed aristocracy rig an election just so someone of their class or someone whom is popular with them becomes elected? we must think of a way to make sure they do not become too powerful within their positions. I think a simple 'checks and balance' system may work in this case.

Federal Powers:
Power to raise an amry
Power to coin money
Power to conduct foregn trade
Establish post offices
Make treaties
Grant patents and copyrights
Power to govern immigration
Power to declare war

Reserved Powers:
Provide for local governments
Conduct elections
Provide for schools
Regulate commece with other regions
Ratifyconstitutional amendments
Assume any power not given to the federal government

Concurrent Powers:
Power to tax
Borrowmoney
Create banks
Create courts
build roads
pay debts

I ask that we take a vote to see if we all agree on it.

MessageHer Majesty Adèle II, Empress of Canrille and Noumonde, Queen of the Rildanorians, Queen of Kanjor and La Tondelle, invites the members of this party to the capital Tusselles for a meeting at her palace. The purpose of this meeting is to engage in dialogue and improve understanding between the monarchy and the IPR. Kanjor and Rildanor have been a part of the union of Canrille for more than 100 years and is maintained by a common monarch that keeps the country strong and united.

MessageIf she wishes to meet with us, she will have to come to us. We are only planning the legislative path this party is going to take. If she feels that she is doing a good job on uniting this empire and keeping it above our enemies, then let her tell us herself. IPR wishes to ready this nation on the path of war and conquer. We will win a majority in this house to win our wishes. Her Majesty Adèle II can either support our cause of an empire by and for the people, or we can be marked as 'Her Majesty's Royal Opposition'. The moment IPR takes office, is the same time her crown is going to the people of Canrille. Capitalism and Imperialism will rule this nation with an iron fist of freedom and justice.

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire.
