Bill: Capital Naming Act 2152
Details
Submitted by[?]: Neo-Machiavellian party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2153
Description[?]:
The Neo-Machiavellian party would like to designate a captial to give our glorious nation a focal point, and bring stability to the union, i.e. a place for foreign embassies to establish themselves and for the government to reside. We have chosen Solendus because it is one of only two main cities our nation has, also it is from the biggest district in terms of population, and lastly, because the name also seems to be very fitting with regards to the name of our nation. Solendus is only a suggestion, however, the main point that the Neo-Machiavellian party would like to make is that we feel it is of great importance that we have a capital of some sort, this is imperative. |

Message | The SSP will vote yes for the moment, so long as: 1. We can open a vote and discuss this matter properly - we'd like to see if there are any alternatives. (When the SSP last checked this out, I believe there were only two cities we could choose from anyway!!) 2. Our new NMP colleagues promise to allow for debate from now on, before moving a bill to a vote. My first inclination is to vote against something new that I haven't had any time to voice my opinion of - although we'll not do so now, as we know you're still learning the ropes. This is just a polite request. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
