Description[?]:
A war is about winning, so I think using nuclear weapons when you can win a war without them is completely ridiculous. A nuclear weapon is not a toy, guys. If you use them when you can win a war without, you'll kill lots of innocent citizens which could have been alive. |

Message | The recently proposed bill does even better. It deters wasteful toying with WMD, and also promotes deterrence through a guaranteed retaliatory attack (the MAD principle). This bill, on the other hand, can promote needless violence for the sake of blind nationalism. I don't think civilian lives are worth ultimate victory. For instance, Japan was nuked because a seaborne invasion would have resulted in a Hannibalistic Victory; The nation would have been overrun but only at the cost of millions of lives on both sides. However, Japan never had to be invaded. Imperial Japan was no longer a threat towards the end of the war. Their economy, military, morale was shattered. They no longer posed any threat to the world. Instead, we nuked them in order to stretch our own imperialistic efforts. Of course, resentments remain. |

Message | I don't think it's right to compare this with something that happened in the second World War. But okay, that's what you think. |

Message | Like what I said in the debate for the "Defense Act": The point is that if we use WMDs in response to an aggressor, it may be too late, too little. What if they strike our nuclear-armed facilities? We would not be able to respond anymore, and be forced to concede defeat. |

Message | Once again, they could strike our nuclear-armed facilities regardless of what our legislation says. |
