Bill: Free Media

Details

Submitted by[?]: Anarchy

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3396

Description[?]:

Remove government regulations on what the people are allowed to see in the media. We can't keep sheltering our children from the realities of life. Educate them, by all means, but abolish these draconian laws that stifle our free press and keep our people from enjoying what they have worked hard to enjoy.

MessageThe RSWP believes that the current laws do not hinder the ability of a "free press". If article 1 was not in this law there would be no problem. But considering music, movies, etc, are part of the commons and not protected by copyright laws which means files haring is no problem. So the only thing this article would do is legalize things like child porn sites. The RSWP does not feel strongly about the other articles proposed in the bill and would vote yes on each individually.
