Message | "Madam Senate Warden, I rise to present the Marriage Act, which seeks to make provision to repeal previously existing marriage laws and to remove the State from the institution of marriage. It is the belief of this Party, Madam Senate Warden, that the role of the State in the relationships and personal lives of the Solentian people has been tolerated for too long. It is time to guide the ship of state away from matters of personal lifestyle and into the clear waters of good Governance. So I urge my honourable friends of all political colours to lend their support to this Bill and restore the sovereignty of the individual over their own lives."
