Message | "Madam Senate Warden, I rise to present the International Development Act which makes provision to increase the levels of aid given to countries in need. This Act does not, Madam Senate Warden, attempt to force the hand of the Treasury to continually put unsusatainable revenue into the pockets of other nations and instead only makes provision for high amounts of aid to be distributed to nations where required. It is, for instance, unthinkable to allow for only a moderate amount of aid to be given should a natural disaster occur in our neighbouring Quanzar. The State needs to be granted the flexibility to give more or less as needed, rather than an arbitrarily set limit with no function. I hope my honourable friends accross the House shall agree." Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
