| Be it decreed by this Diet, That a national police force be founded accompanied by the continued existence of Duchy police forces. -This force will be under a newly declared department in the Ministry of the Interior named: Department of Public Safety and Security. This new department will also have responsibility of ensuring all Duchy police forces are of a certain standard, and operate under the laws of His Excellent Majesty's Empire. -The new force shall be named as such: "His Imperial Excellent Majesty's National Police Force." -All further matters of organization and development shall be at the discretion of the newly founded Department of Public Safety and Security in the Ministry of the Interior, which this police force will report to. Furthermore, the police forces of the nation shall move away from military grade weapons, since we are a civilized society that does not require such weapons of magnitude in our streets, and shall adopt more standardized weaponry. However, specially trained SWAT, Riot, and Semi-military units shall be organized at all levels of the police force. So it be done. |
