Bill: Industrial Hemp Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Jelbanian Federalist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2156

Description[?]:

Industrial Hemp is a highly versatile fiber, that can be used to make materials such as: food, paper, medicine, clothing, and as an alternative to petroleum. Hemp oil is used in the manufacture of lubricants, paints, soaps, shampoos and detergents. Also, it has potential as an ingredient in biofuels. Its nutritional properties are very similar to those of flax seed.

Industrial purposes exclude drug and medicinal purposes. The seed is potentially a very good food stuff but the industrial label tends also to exclude cultivation for food purposes. Therefore, hemp could technically be a very profitable thing for our nation. However, it'd be regulate by the government of course.
