MessageAbolition of the minimum wage? Not very centrist... Unless wanting the exploitation of the workers is a centrist belief..

MessageIt's not exploitation. The higher the minimum wage, the more unskilled and uneducated workers get paid, but the prices the products of the company make are also more expensive to balance it out. This leads to inflation and thus while the workers get paid higher, the money they have is worth just about as much as if they were paid a lower wage. This leads to Alorian money being worth less.

While that is bad enough, the higher the unskilled and uneducated workers get paid (as well as 16-year-old boys working a summer job), the more equal the wages are between all people. This leads to communism (or at the very least socialism). So Bob who dropped out of high school at 16 and cleans toilets for a living gets paid the same as Bill who programs computers and went to graduate school. They both can barely afford to make ends meet and the only thing that is keeping them going is the constantly raising minimum wage, which raises the prices. In the end, they both end up getting paid really high amounts of money but are barely able to subsist. Thus, a high minimum wage is bad.

As for the lower corporate taxes, this is to actually raise government revenue from corporations. With less of their profit going into taxes, the corporations are able to invest more of their money into improving their own corporations, leading to higher profits of their own. Therefore, lowering the taxes is a long term investment in the economy. Tax breaks improve the economy which in turn means that a lower percent of a higher number leads to better profit.

Besides, the ICP are capitalist-leaning centrists. Centrism is merely a middle area between all political beliefs. Centrists are not extreme in any direction, but that does not make them politically neutral. If we were politically neutral, we'd remain with 0 seats. I thought that you were above attacking...

Message100% for. The facts and examples put forth by the ICP more than debunk the baseless, uneducated claim and attack made by the AGSP.

MessageFacts? What kind of computer programming job pays that low? This will end in people getting paid peanuts for demeaning jobs. The fat man sitting on his arse in a heated office doesn't have a right to earn more than more than the old lady who cleans the filthy toilets. This is the most uncompassionate bill we have ever seen in our many active years in Aloria. For shame.

MessageTwo things...

Then you should change your party name to the Alorian Green Red Communist Party, because communists believe exactly what you believe economically. Thankfully, you're in the minoritry here. Skilled workers who took the time and money to get educated and skilled and are in more important jobs *should* get paid more than people who didn't even bother to finish high school and thus have no skill and little education. Hard workers should be rewarded more than lazy people.

"Centrist= capitalist?"

No. I'm a capitalist-leaning centrist. ie., I am in the political center but if I was dead center then I obviously would be politically neutral. If I was politically neutral, then the ICP would have no seats as I would have either no political oppinions or drastically conflicting political oppinions. I made this bill to make me a bit more laissez-faire as I wish to remain on the laissez-faire end of the spectrum in economics as I usually over time end up towards the middle.

MessageAloria= Massive gaps between rich and poor..

"Skilled workers who took the time and money to get educated and skilled..."

So only the rich can get rich?

Says where?

"So only the rich can get rich?"

No AGSP. There's things such as "scholarships." You should try to research into them.

    Random fact: Real-life quotations may be used in Particracy, but the real-life speaker or author should always be referenced in an OOC (out-of-character) note alongside the quotation.

    Random quote: "A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It's a proof. A proof is a proof. And when you have a good proof, it's because it's proven." - Jean Chretien (describing the level of proof about weapons of mass destruction that Canada required to join the Iraq War)
