Bill: The Economic Strengthening of Beluzia Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Workers' Party of Beluzia and Bailon

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3421

Description[?]:

The Freedom Group of Beluzia recognizes the need for a change in economic policy within Beluzia. The Capitalist-Right have dominated our political system and ensured that our nation stands unprotected from the greed, corruption, and acts of exploitation by Robber Barons across Beluzia. They have sought, and in many succeeded, in allowing Beluzia and her People to benefit these Capitalists instead of ensuring that these Capitalists are benefiting Beluzia.

MessageArticle 1 will just drive a few corporations to go to other parts of the world. When they do that, they will take their jobs with them.

Article 2 is crazy. The law is fine as it is. Let the energy provision policies be the responsibility of the individual countries.

Article 3 gives the bloc government too much work, and it denies the individual countries of their independence in such decisions.

Article 4 would give the bloc government too much work. Also, it is bad to have the public sector monopolizing certain industries.

MessageThe responses from the Karavs are very much expected, for they are the source of the Capitalist control of our government. When the concern over whether a few rich Corporations have the freedom to do as they please with our nation is put above the concern for our nation to be strong and powerful and over the concerns of the working class, the backbone of our nation, it is a sign of the times. The extremism of these Anarcho-Capitalist factions is mind boggling.

The Coalition for Beluz Consciousness suspects that, now given an option free of capitalist corruption, the electorate will punish your Dynasty accordingly.

MessageBut the Karavs have said nothing; I have. I am a member of the Beluz Liberal Socialist Party, and I am not a Karav. My surname, if you're literate enough to read it, is "Johnson" so please do not refer to me as a Karav. Members of the Karav Dynasty are not allowed in the South Beluz cabinet, or the bloc cabinet.
Also, threats to the Karav Dynasty may be met with their military force, so watch out.

MessageYour strong arm tactics have no effect on our movement or us.Words are Words,Alden.
But,since I am in good spirits,I'll leave you with the story a wise man once told me,it seems to apply to you:

"Sir," Montagu exclaimed, "I do not know whether you will die on the gallows or of the pox!"

To which Wilkes responded, "That, sir, depends on whether I first embrace your Lordship's principles or your Lordship's mistresses."

MessageWhat do any of your fantasies, or your childish ranting, have to do with this bill? I do not get how the story, from the "wise man" you speak of, applies to me. Could you elaborate?

If you have something with the Karavs, or any other nobles, then you should take it up with the Karavs, or any other nobles. I am a civilian minister, not royalty. I command no troops, so I don't know what "strong arm tactics" you speak of.

Please go home; I believe you are drunk. I simply said that I "do not see how this bill will strengthen the Beluz economy or currency" and you go off into your meaningless blabber.

Strong arms?

Drugs?

Sir, We already have one clueless party here in Beluzia (and they sport a similar shade of blue to the one you currently use) - we really don't need another.

And yes, you don't have a seat in any country that has membership in the bloc; what right do you have to address the united councils?

MessageIf you don't recognize my authority, then you do not recognize the very institution you are addressing.
If you didn't recognize this institution, then you wouldn't be proposing a bill to it. You wouldn't need the "authority" of the councils to put these laws into effect.

What you need is a reality check: the councils have the power, and you don't. If you had the power, you wouldn't need to be addressing the councils, which I am the Chairman of.
