Bill: Budget proposal of June 3426

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3427

Description[?]:

We propose to use the revenue generated by the recently-passed income tax reform in order to increase public spending in the areas where it is most desperately needed. This budget will increase spending on infrastructure so as to provide Dranland with a modern transport system. It will also substantially increase health spending, because too many Dranish are suffering and dying from conditions which ought to be treatable. What we are offering here is a budget for the people - and I urge Parliament to accept it.

Cadfael Maddocks MP
(Prime Minister of Dranland)

MessageMadam Speaker, we strictly oppose the huge boosts in Environment, Infrastructure, Trade and Industry and Health care, since we are set for significantly scaling back the size of government with our economic bills. We would, however, support a modest increase as proposed for Internal and Foreign Affairs as well as Defence and Justice.
