MessageMr Speaker, the DSP is willingly destroying jobs for the mere sake of promoting its anti-business agenda. And still they dare to accuse us of intentionally driving up unemployment! What a blatant hypocrisy on the left!

MessageMadam Speaker, 8% is an extremely low rate of corporation tax. Even the 15% rate we are proposing would still make Dranland's corporation tax rate one of the lowest in Terra. What we are calling for here is justice. Businesses benefit hugely, for example, from government spending on infrastructure, and government investment in education. Why should not business pay its fair share towards the provision of these things?

MessageMr Speaker (OOC: Yes, it's now MR. Speaker!^^),

it is true that businesses do profit from these things, however whenever they receive benefits, they give something back to society instead. If you purchase something at a shop, you receive a good in turn. If you work for a company, you trade your labor for a salary that you deemed sufficient. We must also keep in mind that taxing businesses is especially harmful to production, thus lowering output and driving up the costs of everyday items. Low tax rates for businesses simply benefit the whole of society.

MessageOOC: lol, yes, you're right! It might take me a while to get used to the change :)

Mr. Speaker, the Honourable Lady is in favour of making Dranish tax-payers cough up, but letting Dranish businesses get off paying very little at all. I would not like to be in her position come the next General Election! The GNP demonstrates, yet again, that it is the party of big business rather than the party of the ordinary Dranian.

MessageMr Speaker, I do not see taxpayers coughing up under a flat tax system. Thanks to our low taxes, revenue will increase thanks to the stimulating effect that being allowed to keep more of your own money has on capital accumulation in general. This, combined with low taxes on businesses, the bills of ordinary and non-ordinary Dranians will all go down significantly, benefiting virtually everyone.

MessageMr. Speaker, Dranish citizens know that they pay a 20% income tax rate, whilst corporations get away with paying only 8%.This is an injustice. Businesses and the rich should be asked to pay more. They take out a lot of the wealth of our society, and it is only fair to ask them to contribute something back in return.

MessageMr Speaker
We want to acknowledge that 15% business taxes will harm small business but we know that this bill couldn't pass so this a protest vote for exploiting my party's good will in the past.

OOC:Really there is need for a business tax increase but not like that.
