Bill: Striking Worker's Rights Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Socialist Party of Vorona
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3430
Description[?]:
Current law allows Employers to fire striking workers of their own accord. There is no body for regulating this, the ultimate power is merely up to the Employer to decide whether or not his/her workers have gone out on strike unreasonably. We believe the Government is the best body to decide this. This act would put in place safeguards for striking workers, and obligate employers to seek the approval of the Government before needlessly and cruelly firing workers who simply want a fair deal in their place of employment. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Employer's rights in regards to firing striking workers.
Old value:: Employers can fire workers who are deemed to have gone on strike without reasonable reasons.
Current: Employers are free to fire workers who go on strike.
Proposed: Government approval is needed before strikers can be fired.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
