Message | The first article is madness! How non-subsidised defence industries cannot survive without foreign sales! Surely you don't want to have to sell our state of the art Pernessia-class cruisers to the Kalistans! And our laws also allow foreigners to invest in national corporations! That means foreign ownership of our DEFENCE INDUSTRIES! We urge IN THE STONGEST TERMS for that nationalists and fascisti to reconsider! This will cost Gaduridos our edge as the leading military power technologically! MADNESS! We urge in the STRONGEST POSSIBLE TERMS FOR THE NATIONALISTS AND FASCISTI TO RECONSIDER this will be a disaster of unparalled proportions! We can agree with wealth moving in and out of our nation, but we can't agree with Pernessia Cruisers, Raven's Beak SSMs, silverfish landing craft and our valuable stealth aircraft! If this bill is allowed to succeed we will lose much of what we have sought to accomplish! |
Date | 20:55:37, December 13, 2005 CET | From | Progressive Imperial Party | To | Debating the The Industrial Privatisation Act |
Message | This bill allows foreign companies to invest freely in our corporations! That means the other nations can PURCHASE all rights to our state-of-the-art weaponry! We could have foreign companies informing us that we are NO LONGER PERMITTED TO PURCHASE Pernessia Cruisers. If this bill passes, the defence ministry will be forced to withdraw all purchase orders, and remove all production data concerning any of our equipment. This is neccessary for national security. As a result of this, all of our defence industries will, of course, fall flat on their faces with no purchases made of any kind, and our military will quickly spiral into innefficacy as a result of a lack of new equipment. This is, however, better than having our Gaduri equipment in the hands of Ausländern! |

Message | While this party is not opposed to less government involvement in citizens' lives, we feel this bill goes too far on several issues, and would prefer this mother of all bills to be split into a number of smaller ones. |
Date | 08:28:04, December 14, 2005 CET | From | National Fascisti | To | Debating the The Industrial Privatisation Act |
Message | Whilst we agree on many of the issues, we will abstain from this vote for the greater good of our empire. Vincenzo Gioacchino RaffaeIe Luigi Pecci The Godfather National Fascisti |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
