Message | Mr. Speaker, we agree that the current legislation is unsatisfactory, but the solution certain is not to legalise guns across the board. We propose that guns should be available for purchase only if the purchaser has a licence. We must not forget that it's not just law-abiding citizens that would be able to purchase guns under this legislation - the mentally unstable and convicted criminals would have full access to these dangerous weapons too. Message | Mr. Speaker, is that to say that violent criminals should have totally unfettered access to deadly weapons? Surely it is the government's prerogative to decide who should and should not be allowed to have these weapons - on a standard set of criteria, of course; anything else would be unfair - because it is the government's responsibility to protect its citizens. With regards to former VB members once being criminals, I'm not sure that we should be too worried about whom the dictatorship deemed an offender. Paul Hiebsch MR (DZP) |

Message | der Sr Geehrter Justizminister, Herr Dr. Dieter Neustadt: "Mr Speaker, the monopoly of violence is a key function of any modern government and it is that monopoly that keeps people save. Privatising violence and arms, as the VB plans, will just lead to more crime and less ability of our security forces to support it. The HDV strongly objects to any liberalisation of gun control laws." |

Message | 'The state cannot dictate who can resist the state' 'If for example the Black Guard were to seize some means of production and redistribute it to its rightful owners, then the Police would attempt to retake it seeing as an illegal act of property theft. In their attempt the Police would use force, at which point any good Anarchist would defend themselves, that person is now a violent criminal.' 'What the bourgeois state defines as a Violent Criminal is not something the VB can ever agree with'. Lucía Sánchez Saornil- Independent Anarchist (North East Klein) |

Message | Mr. Speaker, this bill will have dangerous ramifications. The VB's belief that all people have the right - which does not exist - to resist the law by deadly force is extremely concerning. There is a difference between a good anarchy and a good society. Paul Hiebsch MR (DZP) |
