MessageDer sehr geehrter Landwirtschafts- und Fischereisminister, Hr. Jyoji Takara (HDV, Mitrania):

"Gicho-san,

The fishers of Gao-Soto and Hulstria have a proud history. Since the time of the old Empire, the fishers of my homeland have sailed the seas, hauling in fish for meals. Fish is, indeed, a primary foodstuff in Gao-Soto, and the prices are suffering from the inefficiency of government ownership. In fact, the dignity and honour of the fisherman's profession would be better-served by a private, but regulated fishing industry. I urge the House to pass this bill to express our trust in our fishermen, who have literally milennia of experience of respect for nature's gifts."

Messageder sehr geehrter Staatssekretär für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft, Herr Steffan Pfaff MR (AF, Straussburg und Oldenburg):

"Mr. Speaker, the AF wholeheartedly supports the privatization of our nation's fishing industry. There is literally no practical reason for the fishing industry to be run by the government."

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
