Message | Der sehr geehrter Landwirtschafts- und Fischereisminister, Hr. Jyoji Takara (HDV, Mitrania): "Gicho-san, The fishers of Gao-Soto and Hulstria have a proud history. Since the time of the old Empire, the fishers of my homeland have sailed the seas, hauling in fish for meals. Fish is, indeed, a primary foodstuff in Gao-Soto, and the prices are suffering from the inefficiency of government ownership. In fact, the dignity and honour of the fisherman's profession would be better-served by a private, but regulated fishing industry. I urge the House to pass this bill to express our trust in our fishermen, who have literally milennia of experience of respect for nature's gifts." |

Message | der sehr geehrter Staatssekretär für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft, Herr Steffan Pfaff MR (AF, Straussburg und Oldenburg): "Mr. Speaker, the AF wholeheartedly supports the privatization of our nation's fishing industry. There is literally no practical reason for the fishing industry to be run by the government." |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
