Message | We will vote yes. Kazulia should not become a "nanny state." |

Message | Healthcare (including any drugs a person needs) is a basic human right and we will naturally oppose this harmful and immoral bill. |
Date | 04:34:11, March 09, 2013 CET | From | Indigoblå Liga | To | Debating the Funding for medication |
Message | Access to healthcare is a basic human right, not necessarily the funding of all pharmaceutical needs. Although diseases and conditions that require drug treatment are terrible and we sympathize with those who must experience this suffering, it is simply not the responsibility of the government to fund personal expenses. |

Message | (cont.) If you are already able to pay for them yourself. |
Date | 04:52:31, March 09, 2013 CET | From | Logisk Synspunkt | To | Debating the Funding for medication |
Message | Saying health-care is a right is a fundamental misunderstanding of what rights are. Rights are the ability to choose what you want with the responsibility not to infringe on the rights of others. Health care is a service, not a right. No one has the right to any service, but they do have the right to pay for and use any service. A right is an intrinsic abstract thing that a person posesses, not a service that didn't even work well until about 2 centuries ago. |

Message | Kløverpartiet will oppose this. Many people that have diseases don't actually decide if they are sick, and making them pay for the drugs to treat the disease is just wrong. |
Date | 22:53:41, March 09, 2013 CET | From | Logisk Synspunkt | To | Debating the Funding for medication |
Message | So making healthy people pay for the treatment is ok because the other people didn't choose to be sick? I want to know the reasoning that someone uses to say, "Yes," because to me the answer is obviously no. |

Message | It is obvious that in any civilised society someone who becomes sick deserves to have whatever medical treatment they need provided for them free of charge and that this will be funded through progressive taxation. Logisk Synspunkt attacks the concept of "healthy" people having to pay to help the sick but let's not forget that everyone will need medical treatment at some point and that it is in all of our interests that falling ill does not put us at risk of bankruptcy, debt or the loss of our homes. Logisk Synspunkt clearly aspires for a society that is some kind of neo-liberal free for all where everyone is completely selfish and doesn't care about anyone but themselves. For us in De venstregrønne though it is the duty of all of us to come together and work collectively for a better, fairer, healthier and more just society. |
Date | 23:33:05, March 10, 2013 CET | From | Logisk Synspunkt | To | Debating the Funding for medication |
Message | What you assume I strive after is not completely correct; I strive for a society where every individual has the ability, as every individual has the inherent right, to do as they please without intruding on the rights of others. The problem is not that healthy people pay for the sick people; the problem is that they are being mandated, or more accurately, forced, to do so. Charity is a virtue that lacks all meaning in a system where charity is forced. Only by voluntary charity can the morality of the giver be gratified, or whomever the giver wishes to give the gratification to, be it God or some other being, and the receiver not be a leech on the wealth of society. Logisk Synspunkt believes that the government's only responsibility is to protect the rights of individuals; it is up to the individual to create security for himself. As for your last sentence, I can only agree, but it is the individuals and not the government who should "come together and work collectively for a better, fairer, healthier and more just society." I would like to quote Benjamin Franklin, "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." |

Message | We would like to pose a question: If the government subsidizes all pharmaceutical drugs for citizens, what stops the pharmaceutical companies from simply raising prices and demanding more money from the government? Our main concern is the long-term economic feasibility of our current policy. |
Date | 23:17:34, March 12, 2013 CET | From | Logisk Synspunkt | To | Debating the Funding for medication |
Message | If the government pays the consumer instead of the company, then competition is all that is necessary. |
