Description[?]:
Madam Speaker, the government of the Federal Government of Egelion has sent us the following message [OOC: see nation messageboard]: "The current security polices of Dranland concerns our military and political leaders here in Egelion. We would prefer that Dranland dismantle all it's WMDs immediately. The fact that Dranland is so close to Egelion means that the old rulers of Dranland have full rights to the security of the nation. We also hold the right to have final decision on all military polices made under any administration. If anything is not done about this issue soon the Imperial Army will launch preemptive strikes against Dranland. This is an urgent problem and must be dealt with as soon as possible. We will use any and all force necessary to place Dranland back into compliance of its true protector. Sincerely, HRH Alex de Cabrea Formoselle" In view of this threat, I propose the following motion: "The Parliament and people of Dranland emphatically reject the demands of the Federal Republic of Egelion and maintain that any threat to Dranish sovereignty will be repelled with force." OOC: I've had a chat with Rich555, the player in Egelion. He agrees that this is not going to be a war or anything like that - just a bit of sabre-rattling. Are we okay with this? |

Message | Madame Speaker, We, the Werin Da, the largest of the parties in this sacred chamber, are not satisfied with simply this. In times of crisis and hung parliaments, the people can unite and leave their differences behind them when faced with an ancient enemy that threatens to once a again enslave them all. We therefore propose a full-fledged declaration of war against Egelion: "The Parliament and people of Dranland emphatically reject the demands of the Federal Republic of Egelion. Upon the passing of this bill, we find ourselves in a state of war against the Federal Republic of Egelion. God wills it!" Yasmine Ewen, MP |

Message | Madam Speaker, Egelion is the aggressor in this situation, not Dranland. We must be prepared to defend Dranland, but let us not not the first to attack. Dranland is a peaceful and peace-loving nation. Diplomacy needs to be given a chance. Haneul Han MP General Secretary of the Gukmindang |

Message | Madam Speaker, WE support this motion but believe it could be stronger in condeming such provocation. We also call for defence forces to be placed on high alert, the closing of the border and increased deployment near the Egelian border. These royalists can't have say in Dranland's internal issues such as defence. We condemn Egelion in the strongest terms and call for exemplary economic sanctions to be imposed on Egelion. Aneurin Abse LOL Co-Chair OOC: It's all good but I would like to really push it to the very brink of wr |

Message | Madam Speaker, we in the Gukmindang certainly believe sanctions should be looked into, but it would be wise to give the Egelians time to back down before we risk escaling this dispute any further. We feel the current motion is strong enough, but would give careful consideration to any alternative drawn up by LoL. Haneul Han MP General Secretary of the Gukmindang |

Message | Members of the Dranish Parliament, Such rhetoric coming from a dictatorship is not surprising, for all they desire is war and conquest. Indrala shall be behind Dranland in whatever decision they make, for democracy must be defended. Sincerely, Zhong He Minister of Foreign Affairs |

Message | Madam Speaker, we of the GNP wish to warmly thank Indrala for their support and would gladly accept any assistance in defending our joint values of freedom and democracy against whatever threat may occur. However, for the time being we will not support a declaration of war whatsoever and instead wait until the next government is inaugurated. At the moment, political paralysis makes us incapable of taking executive action. Jacqueline Townsend MP Member for Valdor GNP Defence Spokeswoman |

Message | Madame Speaker, We thank the Good foreign minister of Indrala and look forward to a long age of friendship between our peoples. As for what the gentleman from the LoL said, yes, our proposal is a based on Common Sense. Only by proving ourselves stronger can we tell this Dictator of stay out of our sacred realm. Also, as I said, in times of crisis, good folk tend to unite against a common enemy. Yasmine Ewen, MP |

Message | Madam Speaker, on behalf of Gukmindang, I want to thank our Gao-Showan brothers and sisters in Indrala who have come to our nation's assistance at this difficult time. I also want to thank the members of the Imperial Diet in Hulstria & Gao-Soto who are speaking up for us. It is our dearest wish that this situation should be resolved without bloodshed. Equally, however, we must be clear that Egelion must not be allowed to benefit or to be seen to benefit from aggressive bullying. Haneul Han MP General Secretary of the Gukmindang |
