Bill: Liberation - Military reform act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Aurora Libertatis

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3457

Description[?]:

The current state of our military is revolting. Ordinary decent folk cannot accept this. We need adequate protection of our liberties and our grand identity.

We therefore propose that paramilitaries shall be legalized. There is no logic in allowing our decent folk to have weapons but forbid them for organizing themselves for the good of the nation. A nation is best served by an independent warrior chaste made up of fine idealists that any enemy stands no chance against prevailing against and that isn't corrupted by the malign influence of bureaucrats.

We shall therefore also propose the complete privatization of the military sector. Let our good and diligent entrepreneurs compete for serving the nation with the best quality for the lowest price. After all, boards of directors can be fired, only privatization will ensure that we will never end up in a situation where we have more admirals than battleships, for example.

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.
