Message | We think standardized tests are important. However, there is a limit to what they can do. They don't really tell us how creative a student is, nor whether he or she has practical work experience. One could be very good at taking multiple choice tests without really understanding the material deeply. We can't overemphasize a narrow set of technical skills without also nurturing the creative intelligence of our youth and promoting practical work experience. |
