Bill: OOC: Civil War discussion [ARCHIVE]

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hosianská ľudová strana (HĽS)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3467

Description[?]:

Jmayor22 and I came to an agreement on how a civil war between the Czarists and Republicans should start. We agreed that the most sensible beginning would be that the verbal arguments between the former Premier (Hawthorn) and the Czarist characters (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5206) should escalate to the point that Hawthorn (and maybe some other people) get arrested, which would then lead to the democratic parties forming a paramilitary. Then both sides would set up rival governments, and thus the Czarist War begins.

This bill will serve as an OOC discussion on the civil war.

MessageYes, there is no need for an overall plot, but it may prove useful to have this sort of bill. A lot of RPs degenerate into OOC bickering, so it would be best to discuss any issues as they arise.

Also, anyone is welcome to join on either side.

MessageOOC: another possible method to involve foreign nations in war can be via comparing the support factions receive and how poweful the foreign party is, for example, if the DCA receive the support of the PPP, then their Percentage of seats in their legislature will add to the power of the fighting factions.

MessageThat wouldn't be entirely fair, since there are some single-party states that might join (i.e. Badara and Solentia). I think it would be best to just use RP for foreign involvement.

Also, this whole bill is OOC, you don't need to write that before your posts.

This is going to pass. I give Polites permission to RP the Indralan forces, so long as the forces meet the parameters within the bill. I'm not exactly sure what a reasonable number would be, so any suggestions would be helpful.

MessageHiya! :)

We're discussing an intervention here:

http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=376809

Our general idea is to not fight for any side, but to make up an excuse (like an obviously fake descendant of the Kennedys) to give our fully-privatized army some experience on the field ("adventuring"). Myself, I'd just want to send around a division, not a field army.

MessageDissuwa is fully occupied by Egelion and Badara, and the Czarist government has the support of Luthori, Indrala, Egelion, Badara, Cildania, Kalopia, Dorvik, and Davostan. The Republicans only received the support of Cobura, Solentia, and Zardugal, and Cobura withdrew its forces while Zardugal declared it would switch its support to the Czarists. Unless the Republicans are forming a government in exile, this war is over.
