Bill: Identity Cards
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kanjoran Socialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2156
Description[?]:
In the interest of national security, we propose that citizens must, at all times, carry an identification card with them. The information that these cards would have on them can be specified in a resolution. We would hope that this would allow police to identify people. Also, if somebody was injured or killed, we would know right away who it was. This card could contain critical information such as blood type or allergies so that Paramedics would know what not to give that person. I think this would be a good idea, we just need to hammer down details in a resolution. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government-issued identity card policy.
Old value:: Citizens are issued with identity cards on a voluntary basis.
Current: All citizens are issued with identity cards but are not required to carry them.
Proposed: All citizens are issued with identity cards and are required to carry them at all times.

Message | As long as no one starts stamping things like ethnicity and religion on the cards, I'm fine with it. |

Message | What will be on the cards will be decided after this is passed in a resolution. It could just be as simple as a name and picture. Or it could be as complex as blood type and allergies, previouse and current medications etc. It will be for the best. |

Message | We oppose this bill, ID cards come hand in hand with national databases of citizens. The imposition of identity cards reverses the correct relationship between the people and the state. The people become responsible to the state, and the burden of proof of identity is foisted upon them. The MPFP serves notice that should this reprehensible bill be passed by this rump of a legislative body, our legislators and members will hold a rally in kanjo where we shall prevent all bussiness being conducted for one day. In addition all members of the MPFP shall refuse to carry these cards. Should any arrests be forthcoming against the bravery of our members, we shall be left with no choice but to incite riots against this blatant Jewish plot. |
